| Only fished for an hour (6 - 7pm) in my kayak. Experienced good fishing success during the first 30 minutes, when the wind caused the surface to stay riffly. Netted and released half-a-dozen and long-distance released two rainbows that hit the fly as it hit the water (sight-casting). Trout could be observed rising in small pods and were taking dries on the surface, while traveling upwind against the current. Floating lines and long leaders with #10 and 12 nymphs were the ticket. The fishing slowed down significantly when the surface was flat calm. Saw an osp[rey take a 30cm+ trout as I left the water. All-in-all, a great evening to be on the water, but I jjust hope Monday evening is overcast for slightly better angling conditions...
