| I was up there last July and had a blast. The little isthmus in front of
the campsite with the small bay/lagoon is great for fishing - you can see
the fish swimming about. There is a good attentive ranger there so make
sure you have your license. Stay away from fishing in the NO FISHING
area - sounds silly to say but here were two guys 20 ft from the sign fishing away merrily. I was using all dry fly stuff and getting lots of
action. There is good room to cast. Don't expect any Kamloops footballs -
these 'bows are lean - I caught one at about 16-18 inces and the
ranger said that was as big as they get. I kept two about 12 inches and
fried them up - boy did they taste good! You can get a good idea of the
general size and quantity of the fish there as soon as you enter the
lake - the trail goes right over the outlet stream from the lake and
the fish are stacked up there like crazy. The water is crystal so
spend a few minutes just watching - its great! (Just don't fish here
- its part of the no fishing area).
