| My guess is that the bright red thing is Daphnia and fish will feed
on them in the top water. So, your best bet is to cast a small lure
and retrieve it fast in the top layer of the water.
Panther Martin bucktail worked good for me. I was using gold+black with red spots. Rooster tail should do a good job as well. Just keep the leader
(or main line) not more then 4 lb test.
