| Yes, I was actually using jigs to fish for suckers. I've spent quite some
time trying to figure out how to catch those without a bait. And it worked!!!
I was using a rounded jighead and a very long plastic worm (in brown or yellow colors). Dropped the jig to the very bottom and then would slighly lift
it off the bottom (1-2" or so) and then drop it back. Sucker would normally
come to investigate and will start to suck the worm in. Since the worm
is long, the fish will ignore the jighead and will grab it intensivelly.
Greate time to set the hook, but don't strike too early - otherwise you will just pull the worm our of the fish mouth.
