Hey fellow anglers!
I recently had an amazing fishing trip near Vancouver, WA, and I just had to share the spot with all of you. If you're looking for some excellent fishing opportunities, the area around Vancouver and Clark County is the place to be. With the Columbia River running through and numerous lakes, there's something for every angler.
One spot that stood out for me was Battle Ground Lake. This forested lake near the city of Battle Ground offers fantastic trout fishing during the fall, winter, and spring. It's stocked with hatchery rainbow trout, and you might also find cutthroat trout during the spring. As the weather gets warmer, there's a good fishery for largemouth bass and other warmwater species. The lake is located within Battle Ground Lake State Park, making it a great place to relax and enjoy nature while fishing.
But that's not all; the Columbia River itself offers a wide variety of fishing opportunities. You can find salmon, steelhead, walleye, smallmouth bass, crappie, yellow perch, and even shad passing through the area. It's a fishing paradise, especially if you have access to a boat. There are some great spots in Clark County, particularly around Camas and Washougal, where you can target walleye and smallmouth bass.
And let's not forget about the golfing experience at the Royal Oaks Country Club in Vancouver, WA. After a day of fishing, my friends and I decided to hit the golf course, and it was worth it! The beautiful landscapes and well-maintained fairways made the game enjoyable. The combination of a fantastic fishing experience and a fun golf game made our trip to Vancouver, WA, truly memorable.
